You’ve got to stay focused to play the drums in a band. Every part of you is moving, every part of you is playing. Last Friday in St. Augustine, Florida, Weezer’s drum meister, Patrick Wilson, was put to the test.
He and the band are rocking through “Beverly Hills” when a Frisbee sailed right at Patrick’s head. He looked up, grabbed it, with one hand while continuing to play with the other, put the Frisbee in his teeth, and got back to rocking.
The crowd went wild. The rest of the band had to wait until afterwards to see the video of the snag. Lead singer Rivers Cuomo tweeted this: “One more reason @patrick_wilson is my favorite drummer in the world :).”
When the rock and roll gigs dry up, Patrick has a promising career ahead of him as a Labrador retriever. Check out the video – from a fan’s Instagram video. Impressive.
