Like Really, Do We Need Six Californias?

by Mike Stanz posted Jul 18 2014 3:00PM
A venture capitalist from Silicon Valley announced on Tuesday that he has gathered enough signatures to put a measure on the ballot in California that would split the existing California into six separate states.

The idea makes perfect sense to him. With 38 million Californias, how can one central government possibly serve the people?
By creating separate states, the people would have better representation from a more local government, providing the opportunity to start fresh.

That’s the theory. The six proposed states: Jefferson, Silicon Valley, North California, Central California, West California and South California.

Sounds like they ran out of steam in the naming department. With all the creative folks in Los Angeles – sorry, that’s West California – you’d think they could have done a better job with the new map.
