April 2nd kicks off World Autism Awareness Day and continues all month of April… Homes, buildings, retailers, websites- all are encourage to Light Up BLUE to raise awareness! 
The JFS Run, Roll or Stroll is a fundraising event to benefit Jewish Family Service of Tidewater Inc. JFS is a non-profit agency that provides an extensive array of social services, including home health, counseling for adults and children, and Meals on Wheels to people of all faiths in Tidewater.
When: Sunday, May 3, 2015
6:45 – 7:45 AM: Registration and Check-in
8:00 AM: 8K Run, 5K Run and 5K Walk
9:15 AM: 1 Mile Run/Walk
Where:
24th Street Park, Virginia Beach. The races start and end on the Boardwalk at 24th Street. The Post Race Party takes place in 24th Street Park.

Saturday June 13 - The King’s Daughters Run/Walk
The annual King’s Daughters Run/Walk will take place in Town Point Park in downtown Norfolk. Registration opens at 6:15am.  Races include an 8K run, 2-mile walk, and 1-mile Fun Run.  Approximately 5,000 people participate in this family friendly event.   
Friday, July 17- Sunday, July 19 - Anthem LemonAid
Put the squeeze on childhood cancer during the annual weekend-long Anthem LemonAid fundraiser.  Sign up to host your own stand and receive a kit with lemonade mix, cups, pitcher, balloons, stickers, promotional signage and a fun, foam lemon-head had.  All you need is a location, water and ice.   All donations support CHKD’s childhood cancer program.  Visit www.chkd.org/lemon to sign up!

Wednesday, September 16 - Miracle Jeans Day
Join companies and individuals from around Hampton Roads in support of CHKD by wearing jeans and going casual for the kids on Wednesday, September 16th. Individuals or groups can participate in CHKD’s Miracle Jeans Day by making a one-time donation to CHKD.  In return, participants will receive a recognition certificate and CHKD stickers to wear with their jeans on that day.  All funds raised will go directly to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
