… a confessed armed robber in Newport, Delaware who's suing the pizza place he tried to rob four years ago and its employees for tackling and disarming him during the attempted robbery.

His suit – which he filed from prison – saying that they treated him roughly unnecessarily.

Yes. He tried to rob the place, his gun fired during the attempt, and he's suing the people who stopped him from completing the robbery.

He says he should be awarded $260,000.

How about the pizza place sends him a pepperoni slice and they all call it even?

The surviving members of Monty Python gathered on stage for the last time – so far – over the weekend, ending a ten-night run at London's O2 Arena.

Their last bit of business was to sing "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life," a selection from Monty Python's Life of Brian The song was rereleased recently during the World Cup as the Unofficial England Football Theme.

Watch the video for the finale, and watch it to the end to catch the reactions of some real live fans.

According to all involved, that's the last time we'll see them all assembled on the same stage again.

Time will tell how true that is…

Pharrell's new video was released yesterday. The follow-up to "Happy" is titled "Come Get It Bae."

The tune is catchy enough in a repetitious sort of way, and the video is fine, featuring a variety of models dancing for Pharrell's movie camera. Miley Cyrus makes a cameo appearance, and sings background too.

But the thing causing the most discussion: what exactly does "bae" mean?

Lots of theories out there. These are the top two:
  1. A shortened "babe." Granted, both words are one syllable, but it's far easier to pronounce a consonant and a vowel than to struggle over a consonant-vowel-consonant combo, don't you think?
  2. An acronym for "Before Anyone Else." Meaning your bae is your number one, whatever you define number one to be.
Let's see if this makes it into the Webster Dictionary this year – we can go from there.

A few weeks ago, we talked about Aviva Drescher from Real Housewives of New York City throwing her prosthetic leg at a castmate at Cirque restaurant. The episode capturing that event aired over the weekend, and Aviva chatted about it with Extra, among others.

She says the leg toss wasn't premeditated – she was angry, and she had a knee-jerk reaction.

Her phrase, not mine.

And she thinks the whole thing – the event, the discussions about it since then – is funny.

Yeah, because when I think funny, I think flying false limbs...

Hard to believe, but this year marks the 30th anniversary of the release of Ghostbusters.

Some call it the Number One Comedy of All Time. I don't know about that, but it sure was a funny movie.

Interestingly, it seems to have weathered the test of time. Not a lot of dated references, even with all the changes in the world since 1984.

Check out the trailer for the 30th anniversary rerelease of the film. Tell me you don't chuckle once or twice.

On September 7, the New York Yankees will be honoring Derek Jeter on his impending retirement at Yankee Stadium.

On that same day, the Show Palace – a gentleman's club in Queens – is offering free admission and two free lap dances to anyone associated with the Yankees organization.

Jeter himself, according to The Huffington Post, will get unlimited lap dances, food and a lifetime pass to the club. That's his thank you from the Show Palace for "his years of service as a New York Yankee."

Plus, any fan showing up at the club on September 7 wearing a Jeter jersey will get free admission.

And the nude dancers will be painted in Yankee pinstripes.

All Mariano Rivera got was a rocking chair made of broken bats.

It's hard to say that one Instagram photo is stranger than the others, especially when it comes to the Kardashians.

But I think KardashiMom Kris Jenner just planted her flag at the top of Mount Strange.

Check out this photo…

The message is to her three girls – Kim, Khloe and Kourtney – and says simply, "I miss you guys so much."

So much, that the picture shows the four of them, ostensibly topless, posing in a swimming pool.

It looks like there's some major league photo-editing here, and that makes it even more strange.

Here's $10 that says she slaps Santa caps on all four of them and sends this out as the family holiday greeting.

This happened over the weekend, but it's worth watching.

105-year-old Agnes McKee became the oldest person ever to throw out a first pitch at a baseball game.

She practiced the pitch at her retirement home in San Diego, and on her birthday, took to the field at San Diego's Petco Park to open the game between the Padres and the Mets.

And yes, as the video says, her throw was a lot better than the one that caused 50 Cent so much shame…

In 2004, a pine tree was planted in Griffith Park in Los Angeles to honor George Harrison, one of the original Beatles. George spent his final days in LA, and according to most, he was an avid gardener, so the memorial was fitting.

Planted as a sapling, it grew to about 10 feet by last year. But this year, the tree was attacked by insects, and destroyed.

The insects: beetles.

Tree beetles, to be precise.

No need to look up "irony" ever again – this is the definition, right here.

Saginaw County Sheriff William Federspiel went out and bought some new prison jumpsuits for the inmates at his Michigan jail to replace the traditional orange ones of the past.

They've got black and white horizontal stripes. It's because the sheriff noted the people are now wearing orange jumpsuits "out at the mall or in public," and he doesn't want his inmates confused with the general population.

The fashion trend, according to the sheriff, is because of the popularity of shows like Orange Is The New Black. "Some people think it's cool to look like an inmate," he said.

So now the inmates at the Saginaw County Jail look a lot like the guy on the Get Out of Jail Free card in Monopoly.
